If you have checked out loads of sites, you've probably encountered some error message from time to time. An error can occur in case the hosting server cannot process a request (Error 400), if you have to log in in order to see some content and you have not done so (Error 401), if you are not allowed to access some page (Error 403) or if a link leads to a file which isn't on the website hosting server (Error 404). Getting such messages may often be irritating as the pages don't have anything in common with the actual Internet site. That’s why some web hosting providers permit you to use your own error pages which will match the layout of your own website and that could have any content which you'd like - information why the error has occurred, a suggestion how to handle it or even some amusing comment. Such a feature will help you keep the visitor on the site no matter the error and the reason for it.
